For years, we've run a Disney related website - and for years Louise has been sending us email apparently thinking we are Disney. We'd tell her to stop, but she never leaves a correct email address. Did we mention she thinks she's part of the Disney family? Yeah, theres that. So, rather that letting all these letters dissapear into the ether... we thought we'd publish them for the world to see. Enjoy

Another day in the life of what do we edit next in our magazines
Dear President,Legals and Decorators;Hello, another day in the life of what do we edit next in our magazines of wishes and dreams and house beautiful. That gave me the idea to decorate where the largest amount of people would enjoy seeing it.That would be a great idea for the next issue, with ideas to take home. The place I chose first was the Fairmont Chateau Whistler for its Winter Wonderland climate. The second was the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel.I have not seen the inside in years ,so I am decorating with a thought of what would look beautiful and the colour scheme may have to vary with what it is decorated as.Colour choice-Purple and Ivory or Royal Blue.Lobby area-Festive wreaths done in evergreens, sprayed with frosted mauve and have dark purple satin ribbon or velvet on them.Accent with gold Duncan Fife symbols .Have about six of them hanging in the Lobby area.A large Christmas tree decorated with purple metallic balls, frosted mauve violins and large ivory metallic balls with frosted ivory or mother of pearl angels. On the top have an ivory satin Angel.Clear Christmas lights or light mauve if you can find them.Tree skirt done in an arrangement of musical instruments on a dark purple background with ivory pointsettas and a dark purple or ivoryfringe.Have ivory/white pointsettas on desk in dark purple foil or ceramic ivory square pots with a garland scupted on them.Add a little gold antiqueing to the pots.Have toss cushions made up to match the tree skirt for the lounge chairs in the Lobby area as well.Stationary-Done as a ribbon accross the bottom of the page with the same decor as the as the toss cushions or embossed dark purple with gold ribbon trim in a metallic.A gold ribbon metallic bow on the top on ivory or white stationary and pens in ivory or white. You may want to sell some of these sets in the shops. The dining room area-Have pleated moire purple placemats. The pleat done as the exterior ruffle.Napkins to match.Dinnerware white or ivory with silverware.Centre pieces-have done as frosted candle holders with the mauve frosted violins on them and angels etched in glass or embossed with glitter and laquered. These should be circular.Have decorative flag tapestry hangings of the same fabric with ivory fringe or gold on brass rods with a large purple 8 ribbon bow on them in satin or velvet. One on every post or two on each wall.Christmas menu-Have embossed dark purple with gold ribbon in centre page.this would be on white or ivory paper, fine Caligraphy in gold writing.Have large ivory/white pointsettas at the doorway on iron table stand or a wooden column stand.Add some purple satin or velvet ribbons to these. The rooms -have the same flags on exterior door hooks or on posts or walls down the hallway. Also add some pointsettas on stands at the ends of the hallway.Rooms-Keep simple ,some festive stationary and perhaps a Christmas morning basket of Flavoured coffees, cookies, chocolates ,teas and nuts.Tie some ribbons on the roosters of the table lamps or attach a rooster pointsetta in ceramic or pewter, these would be ivory if done in ceramic .Add some rectangular toss cushions to match the tapestry decor on chairs or beds, that you can change to a valentines theme in February which would be a tapestry effect of Cupids with hearts and flowerson on a mauve background. The same for the dinig area, for ambiance. This is my suggestion,as I stated you may want to change the colour scheme to coordinate with the hotel. The washroom area-keep simple by having foil purple bows in the corners of the mirror, decrative hand towels done in paper as the tapestry idea.6 inch by 12 inch.Have a cinnamon almond hand cream. The exterior of the building with the teal roof limits the lighting to clear glass or green on the trees and dark purple /mauve on the building.I think I would stay with the more elegant look of the clear lights on the trees.Serve an after dinner gift of a small box of Purdy's chocolates tied with gold foil ribbon.PKS of 2.Have large purple foil gift boxes under the tree with ribbons and bows in gold and ivory. These are empty .Hope you like my inspiration and have fun,My only hope is to make it there to see it.Next Project; The Keg resteraunts-Keeping with the tree theme that I just designed for the new Northern and interior resteraunts have a frosted tree that sits over a round candle holder at each table ,with little air holes in them.Place mats done with Christmas tree motif over them,an overlay of trees in natural colours and the edges scalloped with copper.A Christmas tree in the Lobby area done with minature train sections on it and balls in copper .Have small railroad station houses in ivory/russet and black.Have a wooden star on the top of the tree .You may want to add some russet velvet ribbon or bows as well.Have the same cinnamon almond hand cream in the washrooms.Maybe serve a cinnamon/almond white frosted truffle cake for a desert special with a chocolate cinnamon stick on the top.Bathrooms have done in a tree foil ribbon, garland swag accross the mirror sections with large bows on each side.A puffy garland of pleated copper foil with velvet edges would look great.Large red pointsettas with copper foil and bow.Purchase specials-Gift cards ,Keg Art Cards done as copper foil with embossed wreaths and pointsettas on them in red.The Keg imprint on the back.Sets of 20 cards. The etched glass sets of course with the Keg on them ,and gift cards done as Christmas card idea.A drink special of the cinnamon/almond coffee with whip cream and swirls of carmel in them.I think this could be used in all Keg locations, but I will leave that to the judgement of the franchise owner.Sincerely Louise Marica Robertson;New Item;I would just like to add that the EBN is looking a little to much like a country shrine of eclectic colours.Would you please make note that a franchise is proffessional with all locations looking the same or they lose their franchise rights.Sincerely Louise Marica Robertson-Disney

NO FRAMES
Dear President,Legals ,Construction and Decorators;Hello,Well I managed to get out for a lengthy drive yesterday to see what was going on in the Tri City areas, road construction,so if you have no place to be,don't waste your gas to get out.It is almost complete at the rerouted end of things at the bridge and the business area in the coquitlam bypass is somewhat of a mess.It was a beautiful day to enjoy the fall scenery on the bypass to Shaugnessy and Port Coquitlam as well as driving up 152 with all the islands leaves changing colours, well done.So the only comment I have to make is they should really change the sign for the #1 hwy.to be posted after the turn off to the farm commune which is at the light.I always wondered what was down that road ,yesterday I found out.To continue the conversation now on the new ship The Disney Coast ,The pool deck is where I left off yesterday,so here are my ideas for that. There should be four double sided electric fireplaces on deck. These would be a dark cherry wood. The deck should be done on light mosaic square tiles a little smaller than the buffet area.Have the pool and hot tub with an ivory marble looking platform with cherrywood and brass railings. The patio tables done in a bronze iron with pin striped russet and cinnamon stripe fabric as lounge chairs are.The bar area also a high gloss cherry wood with toille wine coloured and russet tiles in the background.Have square planters in cherrywood arranged around deck area with silk plants. The open deck concept can be concealed when raining with movable sunroofs. These would be between panels of triangular arranged cut glass pieces or lucite. There should be 8 in total. This deck also has a theatre under the stars with the russet coloured blankets for colder weather and popcorn available at movie time. This deck has elevators to the spa and fitness room deck. The elevators will be done in a high gloss ivory laminate and brass and clearclear glass mosaics in blue, cinnamon and gold. The carpeting a commercail berber for a lobby area.with seating done in a soft cinnamon leather arrangements of tub chairs and iron table to match the patio chairs on lower deck.Hair salon and tanning bed on one side done in a laminate ivory with strips of limestone on the floor ,chairs done in a soft ivory leather and mirrors are both iron work as table in lobby with cherry wood thin moulding inset.Trendy but csual elegance will be brought in with art work, watercolours painted hairstyles on blank faces with a torn edged rice paper matting on canvas.Colours russet and gold hair style on ivory manequin.Just the outline may look effective. Also bring in some blue into the salon area if the ivory chairs don't make the statement we want add some soft blue slate leather every other chair or blocks of two to coordinate with the mosaic tile on the floor to match the lobby area for the elevators.Bringing this tile through also to the pool area with ivory marble around it as well as the square hot tub.could have rounded corners.Have thick ivory scroll work resin textured cushions.Ivory pewter iron work frames as pool deck.Bathrobes ,towels and totes in ivory linen with gold Disney logo on them. The mirrors have in the same iron work as the chairs with water colour art work.Lighting in large circular pot lights in a 4x4 ivory tile lookoing ceiling with blues and golds, water coloured on top, could be a cloud effect on grid work. The workout room have pewter equipment with the slate blue leather benches and chairs and the commercial carpet done in a slate blue with geometric shapes,or waves of gold and ivory as Disney logo wave symbol at random. There should be 4 of each of the nautical equipment pieces a total of 20 pices for the workout area.Mats in the slate blue as well a laminate ivory bar desk area for hand towels, water bottles in small refrigerator and small tubes of hand lotion for after workouts. The jogging track should be around the top deck also. The sports court for driving range into a netted picture could have roll out wings on each side of the deck as a pocket doors facing the ship with a mechanical ball replay system,or a wall at the front of the ship that can also be used as a 3D sports theatre of a golf tournament.Don't forget to have the cinnamon and russet colour beverage glasses with complimetary drink when leaving port. These also have logo on them inbossed in the frosted glassware made from plastic. The captains deck-A round Room at the top with a 360degree view of the ocean. There should be a private hot tub and bar area. This should also have a fireplace, could be on the outside deck according to preference ,I would prefer one in room. With teak wooden chairs and the cabin decorated as one of the deluxe suites this should be comfortable. All uniforms worn on deck should be ivory for stewards and ships crew in white as nautical standard. The waitors and waitresses will be in cinnamon ,ivory for the females and russet and black for the males. These are my suggestions, there are always extras like what kind of door handles ,anything pewter/bronze handle as the bedroom doors at the apartment I am in would look great.Use the decorator for those choices needed for the items I have not mentioned. The Cruisewear to be sold should be in ivory with logo I think as sweatshirts ,t-shirts tote bags etc.The attire to be worn on the ship is the same as others.Casual in Port and formal for Dining and Theatre seating.Except for movie night where coloured denim or casual can be worn if new ,but no blue jean denim, faded. The one deck I have forgotten to add is the funnest to some the Casino deck and this could be between the cabin decks and the buffet /patio deck Or with the piano bar deck. This done in a high gloss dark flooring laminate speckled cherrywood in russet colours.Stained glass panels on walls with Casino logo etc.in golds, blues, cinnamons and some red in this area.Slot machines in pewter ,decorative symbols in machines as gold nuggets, trees ,diamonds ,gems, etc.Bar area off one side in ivory and blue leather with russet.Fabric with blue or cinnamon leather pleated skirt on chairs.Have large canvas painitings or print images of the sails of the Vancouver port with name and trees and Harbour Centre in background done in colours of gold and blues with some black. Cinnamon colours for walls .Bar stools done in a blue twill to match the sofa and chairs in bar lounge area. All bars areas serve food items. The pool deck is Burgers, fried chicken and tacos,The pub area is Fish and Chips and pizza, with happy hour appetizers as the piano bar area. The internet and librairy on the opposite end of the Buffet with an italian resteraunt or french resteraunt mid ship .This would be a wood and glass panelled resteraunt with caligraphy name on glass with gold ribbon framing lettering. If done in a casual Villa style,,have chairs covered in the same fabric as my club chair from G&SGallery with pecan legs and pecan tables. The flooring done in carpet a large diamond pattern if using a plain coloured fabric on chairs, ivory on gold. The chairs would look great then in a soft wine colour and russet stria.A light wood floor for the fabric to go with the large floral villa style print. This flooring should be a larger plank 4inch strips of wood ,would look best.ART WORK DONE WATERCOLOUR ON CANVAS IN BROWN TONES ON IVORY ,NO FRAMES.Large centre light in textured porcelan with chandelier lights, bevelled glass .Small porcelain chandelier wall sconces at each table by the windows.Window coverings in a horizontal pattern with bands of textured brocade between, this should be the same as the chairs and could be large roman blinds. You could also have a cherrywood moire roman blind with srips of the floral fabric. The walls should be painted Durango dust.Kitchen done in a wood cabinetry and granite idea with tile floors .Walls done here as well in Durango Dust.I would like to add the comments to this project and the running of the ships attitude, that there will be no time share promos to be purchased by entertainment or govt.persons as a take over attitude control of the operations of the ship. Those persons behind the funding of this ship as every other have first access to the best rooms, the best rates and the best times to travel,no exceptions are applied.Any problems relating to staffing, age, are to be submitted to the Disneyland Company and will not be an issue for the union of any food and international workers union.I have stated the work days on the ships, the rate of pay and the general operations of ships. This means it will not be stopping in the San Fransisco area as this is usually the issue of conflict for all concerned. We have the Liberty Ships for you people for your choice of travel as well as the Azamura, there are no exceptions to the rule. There is no colour choice on our ships however we will not allow more that a small party of culture aboard at one time due to political problems.Sincerely Louise Marica Robertson-Disney

Dear President.Legals,Construction and Decorators;Hello, another busy time of year when we all think about painting interior and should have painted exterior projects. With that in mind as I mentioned last week briefly that I would be working on a new ship idea.So lets begin with the name ,I thought of redecoratiing one of our older Carnival ships and turning it into the Disney Coast cruise ship for adults only. This would be operating from the Las Angelas area to Whistler B.C. on an ongoing basis. This will provide a number of events and things to do and see both on board and as shore excursions. There would be a 3 day stop over in Whistler B.C. in all seasons. The spring and summer having golfing as the highlight at Whistler Village and stopping in Victoria to see the Buchardt Gardens, the fall of course would be Octoberfest stopping in the Port of Vancouver to see the museum, art gallery and a tour of the local breweries.I know we have one at Granville island ,which is one of the main tourist attractions ,near Stanley Park and the Emily Carr studio there. The winter it would be stopping in Vancouver with shuttles to Gastown to shop and Pacific Centre depending on the amount of time .Then on to Whistler Village for a three day ski holiday including duo mountain ski passes with a shuttle dropping off and picking up to transport to and from the ship each day.For those who do not ski and just want to shop ,this is also possible as the shuttle would run on the hour to and from the ship. This would be great for Whistler Village all year long,as well as the tourism business of B.C.With that explained I will begin with the new ships concept of design. The exterior would have the colour changed from Blue white and red to a darker stack, all paint colours are from Benjamin Moore paints and can be substituted by another company by cost factor ,making sure the colour is the same. The stack would be Blue danube 2062 -30,the white line would be dark beige which 2x2 inch gold diamond pattern ,a gold clear glass would look nice.Cabinet around the lavitory in the Girona beach countertop as well or on pecan wood or oak.Toilets and sinks in white.Art work ,outline of downhill skiers and borders in gold on white mountain peaks with glod and blue strings of paint over them, framed in brass/gold frames.Wall colour Durango Dust 2165-60.The infirmory done in Boxes of Mixed Nuts
Dear President,Legals and Decorators;Hello,Once again I have been out looking at the latest Christmas Decor as it arrives slowly taking the place of the Halloween festive wear.Insoired for another occasion of ribbonss and bows and all the latest trends for the Christmas season. This year I decided to choose a plan and decorate it in a modest fashion I thought. After looking through the Fairmont Chateau Whistler I thought of many things and will state that the new mettalic mocha and pewter ideas would be suitable with frosted raindeer on the brick work in the dining area and the lobby area .Large foiled bows with garlands of frosted ivory and mocha swagged to the centre light fixture perhaps in the lobby if it looks similar to the dining area.Frosted or flocked trees plain with twinkling clear lights on the mantle.Outside two large wire frame trees decorated in clear lights with a frosted pewter etched globe with a mocha metallic ribbon on the top.Have an arrangement of two ceramic ivory pots with white pointsettas in them and spray large pinecones with mocha and frost with glitter. The tree in the lobby should reflect elegance and I would choose ivory velvet ribbon about 4 inches thich for garland twisted around the tree and draped with crystal ornaments of sleighs and snow skiers. The top of the tree I would do in a large velvet bow with clear twinkling lights on the tree.Add some cone shaped matallic frosted mocha ornaments and voila you have a picture. The hand paper towels in a pine cone and ribbon effect on paper as the stationary for the festive season. The sale item for the convience shop could be boxes of mixed nuts with a mettaic and ivory velvet ribbon with an ivory and gold or mocha metallic gift card. These are just a few suggestions, sincerely Louise Marica Robertson. Now for the house plan that could be used for any chateau style house-plan #7-5-830 Exterior of the house lighting done with green/blue and clear lights, one every third bulb.On top roofline and lower portions with garage peak and doorway peak in blue lights only.Have 2 wire cone trees by the front porch or small evergreens in pots done in light green lights with frosted white or velvet ribbon bows.Spray snow around base of white or ivory porcelain square pots .Have 2 wire raindeer in the grass area to the right looking at the house one larger than the other,on an angle in clear mini lights. The interior porch area have the same white velvet ribbon bows with plastic frosted cranberries in a clear or light green colour with some cedar boughs on railing. If it is in the country. If it is in the city keep it plain. The interior foyer done in soft blue satin scroll work ribbons on chair in the corner ,a wooden chair or Louis style chair cover.Mirror done in a frosted pewter.Living room-Fireplace have 2 trees done on large styrofoam with metallic blue glass bu;lbs in square frosted or ivory containers. These would be on the harth. For the mantle have snowmen in all sizes and shapes in frosted glass with minature trees.Fireplace should be white or ivory.Dining room chairs have done as entry chair.Christmas tree-Have 4 different decorations for the tree-aqua or light green balls frosted found at Home Again Home Again,Eight light blue balls, metallic.Eight frosted angels, applea, cupids or grapes.Eight bows silver or gold. Two frosted glass ornaments for each side of the top of the tree. One Angel in light blue velvet or ivory/white or Orchestra Conductor, would be something different in light blue velvet as well.Have 4 sets of mini clear lights for the average 6ft. tree.Tree skirt done in light blue velvet with gold silver or frosted white trim.Have dining room table set up with the satin scroll work light blue table cloth and dinner ware with doves and ribbons cascading with a thin blue border striping. In golds blues and a little mocha or taupe colour or light green.Glasses should be crystal -clear colourCentre pieces -Have frosted clear cranberries arranged through the centre of table.Have three Crystal gift boxes about 12 inches high with tops, filled with light blue and light green mini balls with lids on.The centre crystal gift box have larger light blue and light green balls in it with the lid propped against the gift box or on the table.Add some siver or gold leaves with the ornaments in the gift box. Each place setting should have a mini light blue velvet gift bag with a scratch n win a mint or candy cane and a chocolate.Have a scroll work napkin ring over these and attached to cloth satin or cotton napkins in light blue.Have pewter name card holders at each place setting. The lighting above with more light blue velvet ribbons and bows and lighting for evening dining controlled by a dimmer switch on wall.Kitchen area-Afeast of smells in a frosted basket on the island of chocolates and cinnamon twists and cookies in pkg's and mini jams and crackers. Some small bottles of Baily's and Kaluha to this.On the one side of the island on the floor a MR.and MRS.Clause in frosted white/ivory with gold or silver and in the gift bag ,some Christmas wines.Have Holiday scene Christmas place mats in light blues and greens and silver or gold on the table with light blue mugs and serving plates in a porcelain matte finish ,could be an etched Christmas scene on them. The overhead lighting hang frosted cranberries with gift boxes. The hallway have a large arrangement of foiled and bowed faux Christmas gift boxes. The powder room-Soft blue hand towels with Christams scene or white or gold or silver Christmas trees embroidered.Have trim edged blue ribbon on towels and a toy soldier, bell or other Christmas candle holder in an antique look or frosted glass or Christmas tree. The back yard have iron gift boes with bows as I described for the ones I bought on hinges with angles in scrollwork ,lit up with blue and green mini lights ,the bow portion in clear mini lights.Set these by large evergreen trees or in a corner.Have reindeer with clear mini lights also arranged around the centre area of lawn.Hanging from your hooks for hanging baskets ,from eaves,Carolers in antique colours could be painted wooden ,a 3D effect about an inch and a half thick.Base platform about 18 inches wide for standing in the backyard.Hang the Carolers on eaves with fishing twine. The back trim on the house done the same as the front.Have Velvet bows on outdoor square lanters .The family room area which I should have sent before the backyard -Have a small village idea for some places in the city,on a mirror or glass table with iron legs or base. This could be displayed on one wall .If doing an all tree theme they would be frosted and mini evergreens arranged in snow with clear lmini lights woven around on the table .Spray the table with fake snow.I like to use batting without the lights for a snow effect.I would stay with the theme of colour for tapestry on a set of cushions for the sofa or a rustic mocha, light green, light blue satin, plaid. The tree in the family room done in ascattered arrangement of the same coloured bows and gold or silver ribbon or pearls.A glass metallic ornament or bow at the top of the tree.Tree skirt to match cushions. The fireplace if it is painted a wedgewood or softer blue,I would decorate with cedar boughs in a swag with white doves and light blue satin ribbon running through with bows at each endin Light blue velvet.Keep things a little more simple by creating a theme of one idea throughout the house such as toy soldiers, bells, trees, snowmen, angels or cherubs. This colour scheme could be done with blue and red for an American look,Pinks and mauves for a more feminine look, blue and grapes for elegance ,ivory and white with pastel colours for an elegant look.Russet, moss green and metallics for a country lodge appeal or silver and gold with frosted glass for an Estate or Palace decor. If you make a list ,it is a little less expensive than picking up a lot of things that say Christmas, that clutter.Sincerely Louise Marica Robertson.
